Senior Sunday 2024
Today is Senior Sunday. We are so proud of our five seniors, Gisela, Haley, Hayleigh, Stevie, and Roshad! We pray for their success in their future endeavors but more importantly we pray that they will continue to grow in their faith. As we all enter different chapters in our lives, we have choices to make. Everyday we must make choices. We choose what we will eat for breakfast, what we will wear, or what we will do that day. Joshua, in Joshua 24 offers a challenge to the Isr

Mother's Day 2024
Today is Mother’s Day so I would like to say “Happy Mother's Day” to all the mothers! We are so blessed with so many great examples of motherhood in this congregation. The ladies here at Summerdale, are such great role models for our young women and girls in this congregation. When I think of the examples in the Bible of Godly Mothers, the first one that comes to mind is Moses’s mother. Let My People Go
Wednesday, in the teen class, we started a series looking at the ten plagues of Egypt found in Exodus. As the story goes, God told Moses to go before Pharaoh and tell him “Let My people go!”. This morning, we continued our series “Young People of Faith” by looking at Jeremiah and how at first, he questioned God when he was called because of his youth but God told him exactly what Paul was teaching Timothy. Jeremiah went on

Young People of Faith
Last Sunday morning, in our Teen class, we started a series called “Young People of Faith”. This morning, we talked about Joseph and how through his faith he endured many hardships throughout his life. Whether it was living with his brothers who hated him for his wild dreams, being thrown into a pit and later sold into slavery or sent to prison on a false accusation, Joseph never strayed from God and trusted Him to take care of him. Joseph always stayed true to God and even w

Let's Get Started
Good morning Church family! Let me start off by saying how blessed and humbled Andrea and I are that you have chosen us to serve this congregation as your Youth and Family Minister. We are truly honored and can not wait to get started. We have prayed for this and know that God is going to do great things here at Summerdale. I wanted to just take a moment to introduce myself and tell you a little more about me. I grew up in Mobile, Al and have been a member of the Lord’s churc
