Everyday Evangelism

When we hear the word “evangelism,” we often picture missionaries overseas or preachers in front of a crowd. But the truth is, evangelism starts right where we are. In our homes, at work, at school and inn our everyday conversations. Evangelism isn’t just about preaching, it’s about sharing Jesus with others through the way we live, speak, and serve.

In Matthew 28:19–20, Jesus gives us our mission: “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations...” That wasn’t a command just for the apostles—it’s for all of us. And while we may not all stand in a pulpit, we all have a platform. Someone is watching your life. Someone is listening to your words. Someone is learning what Jesus is like by watching you. And that someone might be your own child!

As we continue to teach our young people what “Faith in Action” looks like, through Lads to Leaders, Bible class, youth events, and daily life, we need to be mindful of what kind of faith we’re modeling. Are we pointing people to Jesus? Are we unashamed of the Gospel? Are we speaking truth in love? Are we willing to invite someone to church, offer to pray with them, or just be a kind, steady presence in a chaotic world?

You don’t have to have all the answers. You just have to be available. Willing. Real. Sometimes, the most powerful evangelism doesn’t happen with a microphone, it happens in quiet, everyday moments where faith becomes visible.

Let’s challenge ourselves this week to live out our faith in a way that makes others curious about Jesus. Because sharing the Gospel isn’t a one-time event. It’s a lifestyle.

And always remember—you are loved.

Eric
