Trust in the Lord

On Wednesday nights in the teen class, we have been studying the book of Proverbs.
Probably the most quoted passage from that book is Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all
your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and
he will make straight your paths.” This passage of scripture is really the theme of Proverbs.
Solomon here gives us a synopsis of what he is trying to get us to understand. God knows best!
Often times we think that we have the answers to life’s questions. We think we have a plan that is
going to lead us where we want to go, but then life happens, and our best laid plans are left in
ruin. Proverbs teaches us that our understanding is nothing compared to the wisdom of God. In
the end, God knows what is best and when we begin to trust Him and lean on Him to guide us
everything in our life will align to His will. We have to play the long game in life. In the short
term we may not be able to see exactly what God has in store for us, but rest assured whatever
that is it will bless our life. Always remember that you are loved!
