Train Up A Child

What an amazing weekend we had at Lads to Leaders! It was so uplifting to see all of our

kids’ hard work pay off. We had several that were finalists in their events, including three that

were participating in the competition for the first time! We even had two kids who won first

place in the Mass Media competition and because of the year-round events every kid that went

got at least one medal; most got several. Winning is always fun but when I was watching the kids

this weekend, I was reminded of why we go to Lads. We go to grow in spirit and truth and that is

exactly what we did. We grew closer to one another, supported one another, and grew closer to

the Lord together. Proverbs 22:6 reminds us to, "Train up a child in the way he should go; even

when he is old, he will not depart from it". This verse emphasizes the importance of instilling

good principles and values in children, so that they will continue to follow them throughout their

lives.” That is exactly what Lads to Leaders is all about. I want to personally thank each and

every one of you who poured into our kids over the last year. Without you they would not have

had the awesome weekend that they had. We are so excited for next year and can’t wait to get

started on L2L 2026!
