This past month in our Christian Soldiers Sunday morning classes, we have been
studying the story of Abraham. We have learned how God called him to leave his homeland and
go to a place that God would show him. We learned how God made him a promise that he would
be the father of many nations and how God would bless the whole Earth through his
descendants. We learned how God asked him to sacrifice Issac his son, and how Abraham was
willing to follow though with it. Throughout the story of Abraham, he showed his unwavering
faith in God. He was willing to trust God even when the path was not clear. We will face times in
our lives where our path is not clear. In those times, we should remember the story of Abraham.
As adults sometimes we forget the stories of the Bible. We often need to be reminded of those
“Sunday school” lessons. They are so powerful, and their message is still true to us as adults.
Abraham is our example of faith given to us by God to guide us through our unexpected
journeys. Let’s always remember Abraham and his faith. You are so very loved!
Eric
