Mother's Day 2024

Today is Mother’s Day so I would like to say “Happy Mother's Day” to all the mothers! We are so blessed with so many great examples of motherhood in this congregation. The ladies here at Summerdale, are such great role models for our young women and girls in this congregation. When I think of the examples in the Bible of Godly Mothers, the first one that comes to mind is Moses’s mother. Although we do not know her name, we know that she trusted the Lord and hid Moses so he would be spared from Pharaoh’s wrath. I can’t imagine what she must have been going through. Having to give up her child to save it had to have been unthinkable, but she trusted that God had a plan and that He would save him. Ultimately it turned out for good as Moses was raised in Pharaoh’s house and eventually helped free his people from Egyptian bondage. I pray that we will all have the faith of Moses’s mother and trust in God even when things seem impossible. Thank you to all our mothers here at Summerdale for their love, kindness, and faith. As always, remember you are loved!
