Faith Over Fear

If there’s one thing the world is full of right now—it’s fear. Fear of the unknown. Fear of failure. Fear of rejection. Fear of standing out. But as followers of Christ, we are called to live differently. Not recklessly, but boldly, with a faith that stands firm no matter what comes.
2 Timothy 1:7 reminds us, “For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.” That means we don’t have to be afraid. Not of speaking truth. Not of living out our convictions. Not of standing for Christ—even when it’s unpopular. Why? Because God is with us. This past week over 60,000 Americans gathered to celebrate the life of Charlie Kirk. Charlie was fearless in his pursuit of truth and standing for what was right. Even up to the moment of his death he never let fear stand in the way of his faith. That is the message that Paul is telling Timothy and us in this passage! That’s the kind of faith our kids need to see!
Through Lads to Leaders and our Bible classes, we’re training a generation to speak up, lead, and live boldly for Christ. But those lessons won’t stick unless they’re also seeing that same courage lived out at home and in the church. They need to see that real faith doesn’t run from hard things. It stands firm, even when it’s uncomfortable.
Faith in action means trusting God more than our feelings. It means doing what’s right even when it’s hard. It means stepping into unknown situations and believing that God is already there. It means showing our kids that courage isn’t about being fearless, it’s about choosing faith in spite of fear.
So whatever you’re facing this week, don’t let fear win! Let your faith lead. And show the next generation what it really means to trust in the Lord.
Faith over fear. Every time.
And always remember—you are loved.
Eric
