Area Wide Services

Last Sunday our teens went to the first area wide devotional of the school year. We had a great time of fellowship and worship. When I was in the youth group at Spanish Fort growing up, I loved going to the area wides! I always looked forward to getting to see my friends in the other youth groups. It was awesome to watch our kids, getting to hang out with their friends from camp. I think it is so important for our kids to spend time with other Christian teens.
This year’s theme comes from Romans 12:1-2 “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.” With all the evil of this world, it is more important than ever that our teens have the opportunity to renew their minds and be reminded why they are a Christian. Events like the area wide youth devotionals are the there for this very reason. It is a great opportunity for our teens to spend time with like minded teens worshiping God.
We will host an area wide on March 9th of next year. I encourage everyone to attend if they can. You will be blessed by witnessing all those teens coming together to worship God. The singing is phenomenal, and it is such an uplifting experience to watch them gather and worship. They worship God with such a pure and innocent heart, and it is a reminder to me to always worship with sincerity. I pray that we will all follow their example! As always, remember you are loved!
