Answer the Call of God

Last Sunday night, in the teen class we launched our theme for the rest of the year. In 1st Timothy 4:12 Paul tells us “Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity”. This morning, we continued our series “Young People of Faith” by looking at Jeremiah and how at first, he questioned God when he was called because of his youth but God told him exactly what Paul was teaching Timothy. Jeremiah went on to preach repentance to the people of Judah for many years despite great hardship. Even though the people never listened, he never wavered in his faith. It is my prayer that our youth will never be discouraged because they feel too young or inexperienced to make any impact. Let’s all be like Jeremiah and answer God’s call with unwavering faith!
