Last Sunday morning in our teen class we started a study looking at Hebrews chapter 11In it we read of the great “Hall of fame of Faith”. In it, we see heroes of faith that the writer brings to us as examples of faith and how we should live our lives. We read about people like, Enoch, Noah, Abraham, and Issac and about how they were faithful to God. This got me thinking, who would I put in my “Hall of Fame of Faith”? For me, it would be my parents, my grandparents and senior members of the Church who have had the biggest impact on my spiritual walk. We all have those who have been mentors to us as Christians and have molded us into the people we are today. We all have those who were notable examples of faith to us. The Hebrew writer was reminding the Jewish Christians that there were people who came long before them that they could learn from and follow their example. Who is in your “Hall of Fame”? Who do you have in your life that has had a positive influence on your faith? I remind you that from time to time we need to lean on those who have been there and who have walked this road of faith before us. They can encourage and strengthen us. We also have a great responsibility to be those “pillars of faith” for the next generation. I appreciate so much all the encouragement you give me and our young people. I know that they appreciate it too. So, always remember you are loved!
Eric
