Today is “Back to Church” Sunday. We are so excited that you have chosen to come worship with us today. When I think of this idea of “back to church”, the first thing I think of is how important it is that we assemble to worship. However, it is equally important for us to be here for Bible class. Especially our kids and teens. Our children are in such a impressionable state and they need us to set an example for them.

I can remember when I was growing up we were always there for Bible class. Even though we had to get up a little earlier, especially since we lived in Mobile and worshiped in Saraland, we would be there every Sunday morning at 9 AM for Bible class. Looking back, I would not trade that for anything. I learned so much in Bible class and looked forward to being there. I also learned that going to Bible class was important and that was a lesson taught to me by my parents. They never said it was, but they did not have to because I learned from their example. We recently started a new program called Camp David for our kids. We want our kids to be engaged in the lessons and to learn without realizing that they are learning. This way they have fun and eventually will even want to invite their friends to class. We have an engaging teen class as well. Right now, we are studying the book of Genesis and next month we will take a break and look at a study of Christian Evidences. This will help equip our teens with the knowledge they need to fight against the evils of evolution and atheism.

We encourage everyone to bring their kids and teens to Bible class each week so that they can be enriched and encouraged. It will help you too. Ray is finishing up his class on Foundations and will be teaching it again in a few months. Billy always does an excellent job teaching the adult class in the auditorium. We are constantly working to add and improve our class offerings so that we can help each other grow spiritually daily. I pray that you will find a class that encourages you and that you can then tell someone about it and encourage them to attend as well. As always remember you are loved!

Eric
