Faith That Works – Living It and Leading It

One of the biggest truths we learn from Scripture is that faith isn’t meant to sit still. It’s not just something we believe in our hearts—it’s something we live out in our lives. James 2:17 says it plainly: “Faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.” Real faith moves. It acts. It shows up in the choices we make and the way we treat people.
That’s what makes this year’s Lads to Leaders theme—“Faith Works”—so powerful and so needed. Our kids are learning that Christianity isn’t just about knowing the Bible, it’s about putting it into practice. They’re learning how to serve, lead, encourage, teach, and love like Jesus. Whether it’s through speech, song leading, service projects, Bible bowl, or daily challenges, our young people are being trained to live their faith, not just talk about it.
But they can’t do it alone. They need examples. They need to see you and me living out our faith with courage and consistency. When they see adults showing up to serve, praying boldly, loving the unlovable, forgiving quickly, and standing up for truth with kindness—they learn what real faith in action looks like.
So this week, let’s take on the challenge together—kids, teens, and adults alike. Ask yourself: What does my faith look like in action? Am I setting the kind of example I want our next generation to follow?
Let’s not settle for a faith that only lives in our hearts. Let’s live it out loud—so our kids can see it, be inspired by it, and carry it forward.
Because the world doesn’t just need to hear about our faith. It needs to see it.
And always remember—you are loved.
